Christy

Christy is an artist. From as far back as grade school, her passion has been making things. From a homemade doorbell on her bedroom door using the guts of a dismantled walkie talkie, to building a chicken coop in her yard; building furniture in the wood shop in college, to building planter boxes with the many tools in her garage—Christy always has her hands in something.

Christy holds an undergraduate degree in Industrial Design from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh (BFA 2004) and a graduate degree in Counseling Psychology and Art Therapy from The Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago (MA 2008).

In her professional life she’s been a designer, a therapist for elementary and high school-aged kids in Chicago public schools, worked as a mental health counselor for teenagers in a hospital, founded and directed a non-profit, and done lots and lots of drawings and paintings.

Christy loves working with kids and teens and brings unbridled joy, passion, and creativity to whatever she does. She looks forward to making some awesome stuff with your kids!”
