Brandon
Brandon (he/him) is in his 6th year at PSCS. He has worked as a musician, producer, audio engineer, and educator in the Puget Sound-area for almost 20 years. He records and collaborates with many professional musicians and artists around the world. Brandon performs both abroad and locally, at popular clubs and venues with internationally touring acts, including The Black Tones, Dearheart, Erin Rae & the Heartbeets, and the Low Throes. He is also well-known as one of the best live audio engineers in Seattle. He produces lo-fi pop and hip hop tracks for national artists at his studio.
Performing keeps Brandon busy, but he is also a dedicated educator and mentor. For over 15 years, he’s maintained a consistent roster of private guitar, bass, drum, keyboard, and production students. Brandon offers an interactive and student-propelled teaching approach, where students have equal control of pacing in their learning, which alleviates anxiety and allows material to be more comprehensible and accessible for all developmental stages.
“Self-discipline, artistic versatility, conscientiousness, and diplomacy are the qualities that define great musicians and performers.”
Brandon puts a heavy emphasis on creativity and technique. He guides students to develop new avenues for expression and relish in the joy of creation. He lives in West Seattle with his dog Smoochy, and, in his spare time, he enjoys reviving broken machines, evaluating taco trucks and restaurants in the C-ID, and perusing garage sales.
