Urban Explorers: Artists Journals

July 22-26 {full day camp} 9am-4pm

On the first day of this camp, participants will make and bind their own artist journals. The group will then head outside each day to a Seattle-area park, beach, or public space to fill them up! Use your handmade journals to draw, muse, collage, watercolor, etc. Campers who enjoy other handicrafts will be encouraged to bring their work along. Please be prepared each day for walking, taking public transportation, making, eating, playing, and being together in community. Artists will have opportunities to make art daily, while also using their large muscles to play. Outdoor lovers will have opportunities to move every day, while also stopping to paint the flowers. Win win! All participants in this camp will need to bring their Orca card every day.

Facilitator: Tawni Bell
Open to: Middle & High School students entering grades 9-12
